Terms of Use
These terms govern your use of the Wordilla app and wordilla.app ("Wordilla", "we"). By creating an account or using Wordilla you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use Wordilla.
1. Who we are
Wordilla is operated by Uğur Can Kahraman, Madrid, Spain. Contact: support@wordilla.app.
2. Your account
You need an account to use Wordilla. You must be at least 13 years old and give accurate information. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details safe and for everything done through your account. You can delete your account at any time (see Delete Account).
3. Free use, trial and Premium
- Free use. Core features are free. AI-powered features have daily fair-use limits that we may change.
- Free trial. New accounts may receive a time-limited trial of Premium features. One trial per person.
- Premium subscription. Premium is sold as an auto-renewing subscription (monthly or yearly) through Apple's App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it in your Apple ID settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions). Prices are shown in the App Store and may vary by country. Introductory offers are available once per Apple ID. Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's policies.
- Changes. We may change prices or what Premium includes; changes apply from the next renewal and you will be told in advance as required by law.
4. AI-generated content
Stories, lessons, word analyses, translations and feedback are generated by artificial intelligence. They can contain mistakes, outdated or inappropriate content and are provided for learning purposes only. They are not professional, legal, medical or academic advice. Please verify anything you rely on.
5. Your content
You keep ownership of words, notes, photos and recordings you add. You give us the permission needed to store, process, sync and display them to you and to operate the service. Words and phrases you analyse that are not yet in our dictionary, together with their translations, may be added to shared pools in anonymous form so other learners benefit; this contribution is permanent and not linked to your name. Do not upload content that you do not have the right to use or that is unlawful, hateful or harmful.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to: abuse the AI features (for example automated or bulk requests), interfere with the service or its security measures, reverse engineer the app, extract our content library for use outside Wordilla, or use Wordilla to harm others. We may suspend accounts that break these rules.
7. Our content
The Wordilla name, app, design, mascot and the content library (lessons, stories, dictionaries, audio, images) are owned by us or our licensors and protected by copyright and trademark law. We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use them within the app for your own learning.
8. Third-party services
Wordilla relies on Apple (sign-in, payments, speech recognition) and Google (Firebase, Gemini). Their terms apply to those services. We are not responsible for outages or changes on their side.
9. Termination
You can stop using Wordilla and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if you breach these terms or if we discontinue the service; in the latter case we will give reasonable notice and you can export your saved words before closure.
10. Warranties and liability
Wordilla is provided "as is". We work hard to keep it accurate and available but cannot guarantee it will be error-free or uninterrupted. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for losses arising from your use of Wordilla is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights that consumers have under mandatory law in their country of residence, or liability for fraud, gross negligence or death or personal injury.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Spain. If you are a consumer in the European Union you also benefit from the mandatory consumer-protection rules of your own country, and you may bring claims before the courts of your place of residence. The European Commission's online dispute-resolution platform is available at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced in the app before they take effect. Continued use after that date means you accept the new terms.
